Website Revamp
Well I have been busy, and I hope you find the new look on my site an improvement. It is now fully using cascading style sheets in its design, and for those not in the know, this is the best way to get cross-browser compatibility.
I have been having a personal look at the way I sing, and have come to the conclusion that I need to put a but more effort into it. By nature those who know me will tell you just how lazy I can be, but I love singing, and am a bit annoyed with myself at how little I have put in. Enough, I’m going to turn over a new leaf starting with this post!

As you know, I love to sing. I actually put quite a lot into it.
About a year ago I was were you seem to be now. I was away for Xmas holidays and preparing a difficult song and I realised I was coasting through class. I realised that if I wanted to get anywhere I was really going to have to ‘take it on’. In that moment, I resolved to stop wasting time dabbling.
Now I learn all the words of a song between week 1 and week 2. I practice it at least 20 times and sometimes up to 50 times. I sing in the car, in the shower, at the gym… need I go on?
I am not sure it makes me a better singer but I know, in my heart, that I’m putting in the level of effort I need to.
My only regret is that, for my gig, I didn’t put in enough effort with the band and I was ill prepared. I felt disappointed in myself. I felt I disappointed people because I could have offered so much more… stupid huh?

Hi Rachel,
No, your gig was great, I thoroughly enjoyed listening to you all on the night. All I know for certain is that we are all our worst critics, and we can be devastatingly harsh at times.
